Passing of Lurrene Parker

It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Lurrene Donelick Parker, beloved band and music teacher at Hampton Township School District.

For generations of students and staff, she was more than a teacher — she was a mentor, an encourager, a friend, and a source of joy and inspiration through music. Her influence will continue to live on in the lives she helped shape and in the countless memories created in rehearsal rooms, on performance stages, and beyond.

As we mourn this loss together, the Hampton Band Alumni Association is organizing a scholarship fund in her honor to assist band students pursuing private lessons and music camps. To donate scroll further for options by check and PayPal.

Alumni Event

The HBAA is planning an event in May of 2027 to celebrate Lurrene and raise money for the scholarship in her honor. There are also plans to assist in the cost of commissioning music for the middle school band in her honor.

All alumni that currently play, get ready because we will be looking for performers.
